Police reports are filed for many reasons like arrests, domestic disputes, traffic accidents, burglaries, fraud, theft, stalking, violence, etc.

According to an entry on the Coos Co. Sheriff’s log for Tuesday, July 19, 3:03 p.m., Hwy. 242 (Powers Hwy.), 42-year old female “advised male had assaulted her and choked her and threw her into the television set.”  A report was forwarded to the District Attorney’s Office.

ATV accident
According to an entry on the Coos Co. Sheriff’s log for Tuesday, July 19, 2:33 p.m., Spinreel area, “ATV accident involving 51-year old female with shoulder and arm injury.”  Transported by ambulance to Bay Area Hospital in Coos Bay.  A later news release stated A. Debbie Demendo, Hayward, CA “was riding a rental ATV when she tipped over on a side hill and injured her shoulder” near Dune 4.

In river
According to an entry on the Coos Co. Sheriff’s log for Tuesday, July 19, 1:07 p.m., Greenacres Lane, “vehicle in river near Greenacres Boat Ramp.”  Seventy-eight year old male transported by ambulance to Bay Area Hospital in Coos Bay.  1999 Ford pickup truck towed.  A news release later stated the vehicle was partially submerged in the slough with the tide out.  “The operator of the vehicle, Bill Wilson was traveling into Green Acres near the railroad tracks when he drove off of the road into the slough above the tide gate.  There were two other passengers inside the vehicle that were uninjured.”  Wilson was stuck in the vehicle and had suffered a cut to his head.  With the assistance of police and fire, Wilson was removed from the vehicle.

Domestic Burglary
A 45-year old Reno, NV male was charged with 22-counts of Violation of a Restraining Order as well as Burglary I and Unlawful Use of a Firearm involving a 45-year old female victim at a residence on West Fork Millicoma Lane, east of Coos Bay.  According to a news release from the Coos County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to the residence on July 14, about 2:51 p.m., to a report of a Domestic Disturbance.  “It was determined upon arrival that a domestic burglary had occurred early in the morning” when Benny Shawn Pishione allegedly entered his ex-girlfriend’s home “and threatened her with bodily harm for several hours.”  Both had firearms and there was a reported standoff between the two “that ended after several hours and the suspect fled.”  Pishione allegedly called the victim over the next several days threatening to kill her and her family in several states.  Investigators attempted to locate the suspect through tracking pings on his cell phone.  On July 16, Pishione was arrested without incident in Madera, CA, “just 1½ hours away from the victim’s daughter, whom the suspect stated he was going to kill.”  Authorities are in the process of having the suspect extradited back to Oregon.  Law enforcement in Reno is also investigating him for his connection with a pipe bombing that occurred at another relative’s residence.  The victim and suspect had been estranged for sometime.

A report of a theft at Englund Marine in Charleston Tuesday, July 19, led to the arrest of a 51-year old Myrtle Point male.  According to a news release from the Coos Co. Sheriff’s Office, a deputy took a report about 1:50 p.m. about a theft that occurred the day prior.  At the conclusion of the investigation, Allen J. Marr was identified as a suspect.  He was located walking on the Cape Arago Hwy. in Charleston and arrested on a charge of Theft II.  After being transported to the county jail at Coquille, he was released on a criminal citation.

Suspect arrested
A male Bandon Police was looking for early Wednesday morning, July 20, was located near West Coast Game Park after he allegedly entered a female’s parked vehicle.  According to a news release from the Coos Co. Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded along with BPD about 4:22 a.m. and received a description of the subject  who was last seen walking south on the Game Park on Hwy. 101.  Officers located 38-year old William Blume, Bandon.  He was arrested for Unauthorized Entry into a Motor Vehicle and Criminal Trespass II.
